This is correct but according to the UK FCO although the Government of the RoC can fine you for illegal entry the current policy is not to do so!

Firstly, I wasn't responding to your reply I was responding to Carrot's! Secondly, your reply is materially incorrect it is still illegal! It is just that RoC choose not to enforce it at this point in time!

Of course you got a 'conflicting answer' - you're asking about a place under military occupation. It's not easy for someone to recommend that you do something illegal (unless they are criminals themselves - and there's a few around.)

Well assuming you are right and I am wrong (where is it written?) - makes no odds.
EU Citizens in practice can cross over in both directions whenever they wish to, 24/7.

You really don't get it do you?![]()
Nobody has said that it's not possible to cross over what we are pointing out is the incorrect statement you made in post 4! Carrot has already supplied a link in his post 5 which confirms this & if you want further proof then have a look at this link to the UK Gov site https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/cyprus/safety-and-security, check out the last paragraph under the section headed Local Travel, it's still effective as of today!
